Technical assistance contracts for the Alice library system will no longer be renewed starting January 1, 2017. Support for Alice systems that are still in use will only be provided upon request for intervention.

The Alice system is no longer being developed to keep pace with the evolution of operating systems, and it no longer receives technical support from the producer, Softlink International. Therefore, the appearance of system dysfunctions or security vulnerabilities is possible.

To prevent any issues in the operation of the system by user libraries, Softlink has created an efficient migration procedure to the Liberty5 system. This procedure includes data transfer with 100% accuracy, system installation and configuration, staff training, technical support, as well as financial benefits.
